New Artwork: Ten Champions
It’s been a while since I created some new artwork, but then again a lot has happened in the past year. The new website and blog went live in March and since then things have been rather busy. Fortunately, I found some time to work on a new project, and today’s the day it goes live.
There’s no mistaking the fact that a lot of my artwork is based around Formula 1. Over the past few years I have created work based on the races, the teams and the cars, but never the drivers.
That changes today with the release of Ten Champions, a new set of illustrations based around some of the most successful racing drivers in Formula One. When I set about this project it was nothing more than some doodles in a sketchbook but over time things began to take shape. I found a theme for the project (Pocket Liveries never had a true focus; it was simply liveries of cars that I liked the look of) and got going.
Now that the project is completed it’s time to share it with the world. In previous years I would create a set of posters and sell them online, and although these illustrations were built to allow that to happen, I have no intention of selling prints at this time.
The good news for all of you though is that you can still get your hands on Ten Champions right now, as each design is available as its very own Pocket Livery! You’ll find all the download links below, at sizes suited to most mobile devices.
This was a fun project to work on, and I hope you enjoy using these artworks as much as I did making them.
